On October 16th, WWF launch a flagship report that quantifies the economic value of water and freshwater ecosystems: US$58 trillion per year (equivalent to 60% of the GDP) - and highlights how investing in better water management and healthy rivers, lakes, wetlands and aquifers is central to ensuring water and food security, reducing disaster risk and instability, tackling the climate and nature crises, and driving sustainable development.
